MediClim is a service that provides users with customized email alerts when the weather could aggravate certain health conditions. We built the site on Drupal, the open-source content management system, to make it easy to update the content on the site. The customizations added include managing user information and allowing them to select email alerts, as well as creating the alert sending process. The site also includes a message board where users can interact and a publication management system to help organize information about the research that the service is based on. The site has grown quickly since launching and has been featured in the Toronto Star and on CBC and CTV, among others.
